Entry‑Level Tax Preparer

About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking enthusiastic entry‑level tax preparers to join its seasonal team. You will work directly with clients to prepare accurate federal and state tax returns while providing guidance throughout the filing process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns, including year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state filings.
• Assist clients with IRS audit support and answer tax‑related questions.
• Complete electronic filing and provide printed copies for client review and signature.
• Submit finalized returns to the IRS and relevant state agencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all client information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tax regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible, seasonal hours.
• Ability to obtain a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).
