Entry-Level Civil Engineer – Design & Field Inspection

About the role

We are looking for a motivated entry‑level Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Belleville. The role balances office‑based drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D with on‑site inspections, providing hands‑on experience across a variety of infrastructure and land‑development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise engineering drawings, plans and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with civil design tasks such as site grading, utilities, and infrastructure improvements.
• Conduct field inspections and site visits to verify construction complies with plans and specifications.
• Document observations, prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to project teams.
• Support project engineers with design calculations, technical reports and project documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project records and follow company quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–3 years of related experience or relevant internship/co‑op projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting software.
