Electro-Mechanical Specialist – $9,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role
This is a hands‑on hourly technical team‑leader position that enables Electro‑Mechanical Technicians to safely and effectively execute the shift maintenance plan. The role combines advanced mechanical, electrical, automation and packaging expertise with coordination, coaching and breakdown leadership. It is not a supervisory role and carries no independent authority for discipline or hiring.
Key responsibilities
- Implement daily maintenance activities according to standards, validating and overseeing work throughout the shift.
- Coordinate technical execution, balance planned and break‑in work, and escalate barriers to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
- Lead complex breakdown response, establish safe conditions, organize diagnostics, communicate status and ensure permanent follow‑up work.
- Coach technicians during troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, rebuilds and commissioning, reinforcing systematic diagnosis.
- Provide advanced support for power, control and safety circuits, motors, VFDs, servo systems, PLCs/HMIs, remote I/O, instrumentation and industrial networks.
- Audit SAP/AMM or Prometheus work‑order quality, lead breakdown analysis and develop troubleshooting guides.
- Compile end‑of‑shift metrics on work execution, downtime, incident reports and labor utilization.
- Participate in shift‑handover meetings, oversee daily work traffic and act as backup for the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED required; two‑year technical degree or equivalent preferred.
- Three to five years of experience as a maintenance technician with technical leadership experience.
- One or more professional certifications such as Mechatronics, CMRT, CCST, NFPA 70E or Rockwell Automation controls training preferred.
Required skills
- Mechanical power transmission, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Industrial electricity, motors, VFDs, servo systems.
- PLC/HMI diagnostics, instrumentation and automation.
- Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, network drawings and control narratives.
- Use of SAP/Prometheus, Power BI, Word, Excel and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
