Distribution Coordinator – International (1st Shift)

About the role

CooperVision is seeking an International Distribution Coordinator for the first shift at its West Henrietta, NY facility. The role focuses on overseeing daily workflow in the distribution area, ensuring efficient picking, packing, and shipping operations while supporting the team and acting as a backup supervisor when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate picking processes using carousel, ADM, PTL, voice picking, and RF scanners.
• Manage packing activities including small orders, multi‑tote shipments, and advanced shipment notices (ASN).
• Resolve problems and operate carrier sorter equipment.
• Maintain staffing levels, track attendance, and reassign tasks to meet production goals.
• Update training matrices, identify skill gaps, and initiate training plans.
• Document employee concerns, escalate when necessary, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of all distribution functions (picking, packing, carrier sorting).
• General understanding of private‑label handling, inventory control, and overall DC process flow.
• Ability to act as a backup supervisor, providing guidance and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset.
