Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter

About the role

As a Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will support the culinary team by handling dishwashing, supply transfers, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans and store them properly.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas using hand trucks or manually.
• Clean garbage cans with water and bleach.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
• Support other staff members as needed.
• Stow away and polish dishes, cutlery, and cookware.
• Monitor and maintain chemical levels and temperatures to meet safety standards.

Required profile

• Ability to execute tasks with precision and speed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capacity to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Prior experience in kitchen or cleaning roles.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods.
