About the role
As a Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will support the culinary team by handling dishwashing, supply transfers, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans and store them properly.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas using hand trucks or manually.
- Clean garbage cans with water and bleach.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
- Support other staff members as needed.
- Stow away and polish dishes, cutlery, and cookware.
- Monitor and maintain chemical levels and temperatures to meet safety standards.
Required profile
- Ability to execute tasks with precision and speed.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capacity to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Prior experience in kitchen or cleaning roles.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Ability to stand and move for long periods.
