Director of Workforce Programs

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Workforce Development is seeking a senior leader to direct the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Georgia’s Workforce Pell and Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) programs. This role serves as the primary coordinator for policy implementation and program administration on behalf of the State Workforce Development Board.

Key responsibilities

• Leads strategic implementation and operational administration of Georgia’s Workforce Pell and ETPL approval process.
• Coordinates statewide Workforce Pell and ETPL activities on behalf of TCSG and the State Workforce Development Board.
• Facilitates collaboration among TCSG, SWDB, the Governor’s Office of Education and Workforce Strategy, postsecondary institutions, workforce boards and external stakeholders.
• Oversees development, revision, interpretation and implementation of related policies, procedures and guidance documents.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to institutions seeking eligibility and manages application processes, timelines and compliance monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in workforce development, higher education administration, public policy, financial aid administration or related fields.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in public administration, higher education, workforce development or a related field.
• Experience with WIOA Title I programs, Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) processes, and federal Title IV financial aid programs.
• Proven ability to manage strategic initiatives, multi‑agency projects and develop statewide policy.
