Director of Systems Engineering

About the role

The Director of Systems Engineering will lead a geographically distributed team of Systems Engineers across the Southwest Mountain region. This remote, senior‑level position combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic partnership development to drive RUCKUS adoption in a high‑growth market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a distributed team of Systems Engineers covering Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana.
• Partner with regional sales leadership to meet revenue targets, expand pipeline and grow market share.
• Drive technical engagement with channel partners, distributors and key end‑customers through solution design, demos, POCs and RFx responses.
• Act as escalation point for complex multi‑country deployments and build executive‑level relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Provide market feedback to product management and influence roadmap decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of pre‑sales or systems engineering experience in networking (Wi‑Fi, switching, routing).
• 3+ years leading or managing technical teams.
• Proven experience working with channel partners and distributors in emerging or multi‑country markets.
• Strong leadership, communication and program‑management skills.

Required skills

• Enterprise networking solutions: wireless (802.11 Wi‑Fi 5/6/7), switching and routing.
• RF tools for site surveys, wireless troubleshooting and network optimization.
• Security and access technologies: RADIUS, AD, SASE, SD‑WAN.
• Virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V, GCE, Azure, AWS.
• Cloud services (SaaS), VLAN segmentation, network segmentation and device onboarding solutions.

• Target total compensation $177,000‑$266,000 per year.
