Vice President of Systems Engineering, North America

About the role

Ruckus Networks is seeking a dynamic technology leader to serve as Vice President of Systems Engineering for the North America Region. In this hands‑on leadership position you will guide a distributed team of Systems Engineers and Managers, driving technical sales success, partner enablement, and customer engagement across a high‑growth market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team of Systems Engineers.
• Develop and execute a strategic SE business plan to drive revenue and market expansion.
• Partner with regional sales leadership, distributors and partners to achieve pipeline and adoption goals.
• Guide pre‑sales activities including solution design, demos, POCs and RFx responses.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex multi‑country deployments.
• Align cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing) to enhance customer experience.

Required profile

• 15+ years of pre‑sales or systems engineering experience in networking (Wi‑Fi, switching, routing).
• 7+ years leading technical teams, with proven talent development.
• Exceptional presentation and executive communication skills, able to influence C‑level stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that drive revenue.

• Enterprise networking solutions: Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), switching, routing.
• Wireless design, RF tools, site surveys, network optimization.
• IP routing, WAN/LAN design, Layer 4‑7 application services.
• SASE, SD‑WAN, RADIUS, Active Directory.
• Virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V, GCE, Azure, AWS.
• Cloud services (SaaS), VLAN, network segmentation, security architectures.
