About the role
The Director of Special Events will lead the creation, budgeting, and execution of a wide range of event experiences, from new store openings and brand showcases to press and cultural programs. Working closely with the President and executive team, this role ensures every activation aligns with business objectives, brand positioning, and growth strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Own and drive end‑to‑end event strategy, aligning activations with company growth and market expansion goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to define event vision, priorities, and success metrics.
- Develop integrated 360° event plans in collaboration with Brand Marketing and cross‑functional teams.
- Introduce innovative formats, technologies, and concepts to elevate the brand experience.
- Oversee a portfolio of events, ensuring consistency, brand standards, and high‑quality execution.
- Manage event budgets, cost optimization, and ROI analysis.
- Build and maintain a best‑in‑class vendor ecosystem through strong partnerships and negotiations.
- Design audience and guest engagement strategies targeting key customer segments and VIPs.
- Coordinate cross‑functional alignment across marketing, retail, and operations.
- Leverage data and insights to continuously improve event performance and reporting.
- Ensure compliance, risk management, and governance for all events.
- Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing internal and external event teams.
Required profile
- Extensive production and event management experience, preferably in a retail or brand environment.
- Proven track record of managing large budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and guiding high‑performing teams.
- Excellent collaboration abilities with internal communication, marketing, and operations stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into impactful experiential programs.
