About the role
This senior leadership position is responsible for driving quality excellence across rod, wire, and spring manufacturing operations in the United States. The Director will oversee the full Quality Management System, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for rod, wire, and spring production.
- Define and enforce quality standards, testing methods, and audit requirements in partnership with internal teams and customers.
- Lead internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and management review processes.
- Investigate customer complaints and non‑conformances, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions and training.
- Monitor in‑process quality control activities, ensuring specification adherence and rapid issue resolution on the shop floor.
- Create and maintain quality reporting systems, including KPIs, trend analysis, and performance dashboards for leadership.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service to align quality expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Promote quality awareness and continuous‑improvement practices throughout the organization.
- Support training programs for plant personnel and develop quality‑related capabilities.
- Manage product release compliance, ensuring only conforming products reach customers.
- Travel regularly (minimum 50%) to support multi‑site quality operations and audits.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing environments with a strong focus on quality management systems.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing QMS implementation, audits, and compliance in industrial or production settings.
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data‑driven improvement.
