DevSecOps Application Security Engineer

About the role

The Infosys Retail, Consumer Goods, and Logistics unit is seeking a DevSecOps Application Security Engineer to join its Infrastructure Consulting team in Richardson, TX. The role focuses on securing client IT environments, driving automation, and ensuring reliable, scalable infrastructure delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, produce assessment reports, and support due‑diligence activities to identify maturity gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Design scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure solutions, review reusable components and create technical documentation for deployments.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing and manage version control.
• Plan and execute maintenance windows, emergency fixes and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, support capacity planning and provide insights for system optimization.
• Perform security checks, recovery drills and compliance audits, implementing security measures and continuity plans.
• Identify automation opportunities, propose process enhancements and act as liaison among onsite, offshore and vendor teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure consulting or related IT operations roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and produce actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse technical and business teams.
