DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Modus, a fast‑growing startup modernising audit with AI. You will help keep our multi‑tenant production environment reliable, rebuild legacy IT into a modern platform, and onboard new accounting firms onto our stack.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor AWS‑based multi‑tenant deployments, handle incident response and ensure production stability.
• Re‑architect legacy CPA IT systems into a unified, scalable platform covering identity, endpoints, networking and storage.
• Onboard newly acquired firms, migrate users and data while maintaining compliance and security.
• Support engineering teams with CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling and deployment automation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience running production workloads on AWS (VPC, IAM, EC2/ECS/EKS, RDS).
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong Linux administration skills and ability to script in Python or Bash.
• Self‑starter attitude with a bias toward ownership and automation.
