DevOps Engineer

About the role

Teza, a systematic trading firm, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its infrastructure platform. The role will shape tooling choices, establish standards, and build systems that scale with the firm’s quantitative strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate full‑stack observability across internal services, including metrics, logging, tracing and alerting.
• Develop self‑service compute orchestration for Slurm, Hadoop and Airflow workloads.
• Implement mature secrets management with rotation, auditing and integration into deployment pipelines.
• Create unified release pipelines for trading strategies, data pipelines and real‑time systems.
• Maintain shared platform services such as identity management, GitHub Actions runners, VPN and observability tooling.
• Ensure a strong security posture through network segmentation, access controls and vulnerability management.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating internal platform services (CI/CD, compute, monitoring, developer tooling).
• Strong Linux systems administration skills and expertise with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or similar).
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and how infrastructure supports engineering teams.
• Familiarity with machine‑learning and data‑intensive workflow requirements (GPU scheduling, large datasets, experiment tracking).
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) including networking, IAM and managed services.
