About the role
The Deputy Chief Finance Officer will lead the financial operations of the Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority, ensuring sound fiscal stewardship, compliance, and effective program delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, grants administration, and financial reporting functions.
- Supervise the Accounting Manager and Director of Budgets and Grants, providing leadership and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement financial strategy, internal controls, and long‑term financial planning.
- Coordinate external audits, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and GAAP requirements.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in governmental accounting, public finance, and grants administration.
- Proven ability to lead finance teams and provide executive‑level financial analysis and decision support.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards (GAS).
- Expertise in federal and state grant compliance and reporting.
