Data Science & Analytics Manager

About the role

ClayAI is looking for a Data Science & Analytics Manager to lead its Data Science and Analytics (DSA) team. The team serves as the company’s center of excellence for experimentation, metric design, insights, and data‑driven decision‑making across product, marketing, sales, finance, and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and coach a team of data scientists and analytics engineers, handling recruitment, onboarding, and standards for great data work.
• Set a high technical bar for experimentation, analysis, metric design, and data modeling while keeping the team at the forefront of AI for data science.
• Prioritize impact by ensuring work directly influences business decisions and trajectory.
• Partner strategically with product, GTM, and finance leaders to provide tooling, insights, and data‑informed decision support.
• Shape product and business strategy by translating data into internal narratives and identifying new investment opportunities.
• Define and champion key measurement frameworks, ensuring critical metrics are instrumented and monitored.

Required profile

• 2+ years managing data scientists or analytics engineers and 6+ years overall in data science or analytics, with a proven record of influencing product and business decisions.
• Strong technical depth in experimentation, analytics, statistics, data modeling, and metric design; able to coach senior individual contributors.
• Expertise in product or growth data science, especially user funnel analysis for B2B or B2C products.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable partnering with senior leaders and pushing back when needed.
• Outstanding data storytelling ability and empathetic communication across diverse audiences.
