About the role
We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Data Entry Operator to join Positive Behavior Steps’ remote team. The role supports our behavioral health programs by accurately entering and maintaining client and operational data across multiple systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain client records, program data, and operational information in company databases and internal systems.
- Review and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before entry.
- Process incoming data from clinical, administrative, and operations teams and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and compile data reports for internal departments and management.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity and workflow efficiency.
- Assist with data migration, cleansing, and database management projects as needed.
- Handle all client and organizational data confidentially, complying with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Respond promptly to internal data requests and suggest process improvements.
- Provide general administrative and operational support.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, IT, or related field is a plus.
- 0–2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a healthcare‑related role.
- Excellent typing speed (40–50 WPM) with high accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Passion for behavioral health and making a positive community impact.
