Cyber Security Manager (Engineering)

About the role

Riveron is seeking a Cyber Security Manager (Engineering) to protect client digital assets and design, implement, and maintain security solutions across multi‑cloud environments. The role blends hands‑on engineering with advisory work, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with practice leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to threats using Azure Sentinel, AWS GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Google Cloud Logging.
• Design and implement identity and access solutions across Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, and GCP IAM, applying zero‑trust and least‑privilege principles.
• Deploy cloud‑native security tools (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, Google Cloud SCC) to enforce baselines and maintain compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, HIPAA).
• Secure cloud networking, encryption, and workload protection across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Automate security controls in CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Develop AI‑accelerated internal tooling with Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other LLM technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or cloud security engineering with hands‑on experience in at least two major cloud platforms.
• Ownership mindset, strong collaboration, and ability to move between engineering, strategy, and compliance discussions.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.

Required skills

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (multi‑cloud expertise).
• Zero‑trust architecture, cloud networking, Kubernetes, Docker, secrets and vulnerability management.
• Identity & Access Management (Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, GCP IAM, RBAC, PAM).
• Security tooling: Azure Sentinel, AWS GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Google Cloud Logging, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, Google Cloud SCC.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP) preferred.
