Custodian – Evening Shift

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Custodian to join the Gwinnett Technical College facilities team on an evening shift. This full‑time, non‑exempt position ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitized environment across Gwinnett Technical College facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms and assigned spaces.
• Stock restrooms and other areas with appropriate supplies and ensure proper inventory.
• Complete mandatory Hazardous Materials and Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.

Required profile

• Full‑time evening shift (5:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday‑Friday) with ability to follow schedules and policies.
• Minimum six months of custodial experience preferred; otherwise any combination of training and experience that provides necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and adherence to Fair Labor Standards Act regulations.

Required skills

• Experience with cleaning equipment and floor care.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 lb and perform repetitive motions.
