Corporate Attorney – Litigation & Commercial Contracts

About the role

Ocean Spray is seeking an Attorney to provide legal counsel across a broad spectrum of matters. The role focuses on supporting litigation, developing commercial contracts, and managing legal risks for the cooperative.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and draft commercial agreements including IP licensing, co-pack, ingredient supply and third-party service contracts.
• Conduct risk analysis for business initiatives and provide research-based legal advice.
• Manage multiple priority legal projects, working cross-functionally to ensure timely completion.
• Advise internal teams on transactions, marketing assets, litigation, disputes and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as legal advisor to functions such as food safety, R&D, supply chain, procurement, IT, labor and corporate compliance.
• Oversee the prosecution, maintenance and defense of intellectual property applications and support protection strategies.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree (required).
• Minimum three years of relevant legal experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and strong analytical & research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
