About the role
Moog seeks a Contracts Specialist to support contractual integrity, risk management, and business operations across its defense and aerospace programs. The role demands intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and accountability for contract administration activities.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of contractual matters, including preparation, review, negotiation, execution, modification, and administration of contracts and agreements.
- Interpret contract language, FAR, agency regulations, and other requirements, and support negotiations with customers and partners.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, obligations, and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate contractual, business, and compliance risks.
- Maintain organized contract files, records, reports, and documentation to support business operations.
- Support export compliance activities and obtain required export licenses.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in contracts, procurement, program administration, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of contract administration principles, lifecycle management, and risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
- Experience negotiating domestic and international contract terms and conditions.
- Understanding of contract law and contract interpretation.
- Experience with warranty claims administration and support for government‑furnished equipment.
