About the role

Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an ambitious associate attorney to join its Buffalo office. The position focuses on employment law matters for educational institutions, ranging from K‑12 school districts to colleges and universities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counsel on employment issues affecting schools, charter organizations, and higher‑education entities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the education sector.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on business development and billing strategies.
• Participate in the firm’s Wayfinder Academy and mentorship programs.
• Assist with litigation, advisory work, and compliance projects as needed.

Required profile

• 2–8 years of experience practicing employment law.
• Interest in serving K‑12, charter, independent schools, colleges, and universities.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Commitment to professional growth and teamwork.
