About the role
Cardless is seeking a detail‑oriented compliance professional to own product compliance for its credit and debit card programs. The role sits at the intersection of compliance, product, and business, advising on new features, pricing, and disclosures to meet regulatory and partner‑bank requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Advise product, business, and operations teams on compliance of new card programs, features, terms, pricing, and fees from concept through launch and servicing.
- Review product terms, pricing structures, disclosure packages, and application/servicing flows for alignment with regulations such as Regulation Z, E, DD, B, UDAAP, and FCRA.
- Interpret and apply consumer‑protection laws to novel product features, identifying issues early and recommending workable solutions.
- Build and maintain product‑compliance checklists, advisory intake processes, sign‑off workflows, and audit‑ready records.
- Partner with issuing‑bank partners on product and disclosure reviews, escalating higher‑risk issues to senior compliance leadership.
Required profile
- 3–6 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory advisory within banking, fintech, or consumer financial services.
- Hands‑on experience reviewing consumer financial product features, terms, pricing, and fee disclosures for regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of consumer‑protection regulations across credit and debit card products (Regulation Z, E, DD, B, UDAAP, FCRA).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide defensible, customer‑friendly recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple product workstreams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
