Construction Quality Control Manager

About the role

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to lead quality initiatives for field operations on active military installations in Pensacola, Florida and surrounding areas. The CQCM will develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific quality control programs that meet strict federal and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain quality control programs for each project.
• Monitor and enforce project quality processes and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
• Coordinate quality activities with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and government representatives.
• Conduct inspections of medium‑ and high‑voltage electrical systems, transformer upgrades, data centers, photovoltaic farms, utility infrastructure, and military power distribution systems.
• Maintain compliance with USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience (e.g., Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Quality Control Manager).
• At least 2 years in a dedicated CQCM role.
• Current USACE CQM for Contractors certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Certifications: EM 385‑1‑1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30 (training may be provided).

Required skills

• Medium and high‑voltage electrical system expertise.
• Experience with transformer upgrades, data centers, photovoltaic (PV) farms, utility infrastructure, and military power distribution.
• Familiarity with RMS/QCS systems (training available).
• Proficiency in construction management platforms such as Procore and Autodesk Build.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet‑based systems.
