Construction Manager – Owner's Representative

About the role

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is looking for a Construction Manager to act as the company's owner's representative. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle for new facilities, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives across a defined region, ensuring safe, on‑budget, and on‑schedule delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design review through construction execution and operational handover.
• Conduct detailed reviews of contractor bid packages, budgets, and schedules; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cash‑flow forecasting, and cost management for each project.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance and coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction for permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Review construction documents for conformance to Amazon specifications and resolve design or schedule conflicts.
• Coach and guide internal and external project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Champion Amazon's safety programs and maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong technical construction expertise with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to manage several projects independently and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% regionally and work from a corporate office when not traveling.
