Construction Administrator

About the role

CPH, a top‑ranked engineering and architecture firm, is looking for a Construction Administrator to support its dynamic team in Sanford, FL. The role assists the Construction Manager by overseeing the construction phase, ensuring projects meet design specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction administration from pre‑construction through project completion for multiple projects.
• Serve as primary liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and verify compliance with documents, codes, and standards.
• Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders promptly.
• Identify and resolve construction challenges cost‑effectively while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Track project schedules and budgets, providing updates and recommendations.
• Ensure quality‑control measures and safety protocols are followed on all sites.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including site reports, meeting minutes, and field observations.
• Assist with project closeout, managing punch lists, final inspections, and as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture or general‑contracting construction administration, primarily on commercial projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to make quick, informed decisions.
