Community Manager – The Island Residences

About the role

The Community Manager for The Island Residences will oversee daily property operations, lead the on‑site team, and ensure a high‑quality living experience for residents. Reporting to senior management, this role balances financial performance with resident satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all relevant housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor the property budget, analyze financial statements, and adjust strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Set rent rates, collect payments, process bank deposits, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code charges correctly, and coordinate with accounting and ownership.
• Manage petty cash, control expenditures, and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to create short‑ and long‑term leasing and marketing plans that drive occupancy and revenue.
• Promote resident satisfaction through responsive service and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multifamily residential properties or similar real‑estate assets.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other housing regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial data, control budgets, and produce accurate reports.
• Excellent organizational skills for handling vendor relations, invoice processing, and cash management.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to guide on‑site staff and interact with residents.
