Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Altium is transitioning its desktop electronics design tools to a SaaS cloud platform. The Cloud Security Engineer will join the Production Engineering team to ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of the cloud services that power Altium 365.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions for monitoring, detection, vulnerability remediation, and incident response for Altium 365.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver security‑focused solutions that align with business objectives.
• Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure, investigate alerts, and respond to security incidents.
• Apply DevSecOps practices by automating security controls and shifting security left in the development pipeline.
• Maintain compliant infrastructure, policies, and regularly review operational processes for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder.
• Experience with one or more cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with logging, monitoring, and incident response in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with IaC, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.
• Relevant security certifications are a strong plus (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CKS, CCSP, CISSP).
