Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

We are building an AI‑native operating system that will standardize financing for homebuilders and connect them with institutional investors. As Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the creation of the core platform that spans builder intake, underwriting, credit analysis, capital matching, portfolio monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end architecture, from data layer to user interfaces and cloud deployment.
• Design and implement shared data models, underwriting standards and decision engines that enable scalable institutional capital flows.
• Build agentic workflows that can research, reason, execute and escalate while maintaining transparency and control.
• Balance deterministic software components with LLM‑driven agents, establishing clear boundaries for human oversight.
• Lead the full production lifecycle, including observability, monitoring, incident response and continuous iteration.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Strong computer‑science fundamentals and ownership of complex, high‑impact services.
• Hands‑on full‑stack expertise covering modern frontend, backend APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing or deploying AI/LLM‑powered or agentic systems, including evaluation and safety controls.
• Background in lending, credit, structured finance, fintech, real‑estate finance or related domains is a plus.
