Cherry Picker Operator – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Cherry Picker Operator works the 3rd shift (10 pm–6:30 am) in a Cardinal Health distribution center in Portland, handling inbound and outbound warehouse activities while meeting safety, quality and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Pick large case items with a cherry picker or small units onto carts, build and wrap pallets, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks and walkie riders.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check‑in and ship products, and perform quality control checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow OSHA and company safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, bend, stoop and stand for the entire shift.
• Comfort working at heights of 20‑30 ft regularly.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; prior material‑handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime with little notice and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Cherry picker operation.
• Forklift, reach‑truck and turret‑truck operation.
• RF scanner or voice‑to‑pick system experience.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
