Chemistry Lab Tech

About the role

Certified Group is seeking a Chemistry Lab Tech to support chemical testing of food products, ingredients, and related matrices. The role focuses on solution and reagent preparation, sample homogenization, proximate analysis, and routine instrument operation within a Food Safety Net Services laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain chemical solutions and reagents for testing.
• Perform sample homogenization and proximate analysis using balances, ovens, furnaces, and extractors.
• Execute chemistry extractions, follow standard laboratory techniques, and maintain glassware.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance, cleaning, and waste disposal.
• Maintain accurate records, inventory supplies, and ensure compliance with FSNS policies and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience, preferably in a food testing environment.
• Knowledge of aseptic sampling techniques and automated laboratory equipment.
• Ability to travel as needed.
