Certified Welding Inspector – Social Circle, GA

About the role

The inspector is responsible for quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, including on‑site inspections during the construction phase. The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience in a similar position.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors and BV employees to define work order scope, schedule and budget.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues with all parties involved, ensuring services meet contract requirements.
• Generate and submit timesheets, billing, expense and inspection reports promptly using Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.
• Maintain positive relationships between Bureau Veritas, the client and fabrication facilities while supporting remote, on‑site, or office work as needed.

Required profile

• Current/active American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (or Senior CWI).
• Non‑Destructive Testing Level II or III certification and NACE/AMPP Level II.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Fiscal ability to cover travel expenses (lodging, meals, flights, etc.) in advance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Calendar).
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat and other document‑control software.
• Ability to capture and embed photos from a smartphone or camera into client reports.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, specifications and the ability to read complex design and fabrication plans.
