Certified Welding Inspector – Phoenix, AZ

About the role

The Certified Welding Inspector will provide quality assurance for Bureau Veritas clients, performing on‑site inspections during construction and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with project managers, fabrication shops, contractors and other stakeholders to define scope, schedule and resolve issues.
• Perform on‑site inspections during construction and ensure services meet client contract requirements.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, billing, expense and inspection reports using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, fabrication facilities and Bureau Veritas teams while adhering to safety and PPE standards.

Required profile

• Current/active American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (or Senior CWI).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass background and drug checks.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and fiscal ability to cover travel expenses up to two weeks in advance.
• Physical ability to remain stationary for long periods, ascend ladders, and operate computer equipment on site.

Required skills

• American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector credential.
• Non‑Destructive Testing Level II or III (preferred).
• NACE/AMPP Level II certification (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to capture and embed photographic documentation using a smartphone.
