Café Staff – Food Services Technician I

About the role

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is seeking part‑time Café Staff to join its Best Café team. You will work in a museum environment, serving visitors daily from 10 am to 4:30 pm (Saturday‑Tuesday) and until 8:30 pm (Wednesday‑Friday). The position offers flexible scheduling and an hourly wage of $13.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Take orders, prepare and serve food and beverages.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café area.
• Restock supplies and ensure inventory levels are adequate.
• Follow food‑safety and museum‑policy guidelines.
