About the role
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is seeking a part‑time Line Cook to join the Floris Café team in the Pauley Center Parlor. You will help deliver a unique tea‑centric dining experience to museum visitors, working in a fast‑paced, inclusive kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to seasonal recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to food‑safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service during all operating hours.
Required profile
- Prior experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a 365‑day operation.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences.
Required skills
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency.
