Business Systems Engineer

About the role

ClickUp is building an AI‑native workspace that unifies tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search. As a Business Systems Engineer on the GTM Engineering team you will design, build, and operate AI‑driven automation and integration platforms that power the company’s go‑to‑market operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI‑powered automations and agentic workflows across Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, MuleSoft and other GTM systems.
• Develop ClickUp Super Agents and LLM‑based automations for deal enrichment, quote generation, order validation, and revenue recognition.
• Architect Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that enable contextual AI actions across business platforms.
• Build and maintain robust integrations for lead‑to‑opportunity, quote‑to‑cash, and revenue reporting pipelines.
• Create internal tooling and low‑code solutions using Retool, Replit, Python, JavaScript or Apex.
• Monitor reliability, observability and continuous improvement of all automations and integrations.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in business systems engineering, integration, or systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce and an ERP system (NetSuite preferred).
• Proven track record of delivering production‑grade AI or LLM‑driven automations.

Required skills

• Salesforce configuration, Flow, Process Builder, Apex.
• NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteBundler, saved searches.
• Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier or comparable iPaaS platforms.
• Python, JavaScript (or Apex) for scripting and data transformation.
• REST APIs, JSON, OAuth‑based integrations.
• LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude), prompt engineering, and ClickUp Super Agents.
