About the role
AVEVA is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its Value Chain Optimization portfolio across North America. You will be responsible for building a robust pipeline, achieving sales targets, and delivering domain expertise in refinery and petrochemical planning, scheduling, and real‑time optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with regional sales and pre‑sales teams to acquire new customers and close deals.
- Lead the sales process from lead generation through opportunity development.
- Collaborate with regional marketing to shape demand‑generation initiatives specific to Value Chain Optimization.
- Identify new opportunities by working closely with AVEVA sales resources.
- Act as the domain expert, articulating value propositions and addressing customer needs, competition, and industry trends.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of business development or account management experience in a technology environment.
- At least 5 years of business technical sales or consulting experience.
- Significant technical sales or operational experience in real‑time optimization or planning and scheduling.
- Understanding of operations technology and enterprise software.
- Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.
