Business Consultant – Remote, up to $100/hr

About the role

Mercor is seeking an experienced Business Consultant to work remotely on AI‑focused projects. You will help shape AI model training and deployment by applying rigorous business analysis and strategic thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform AI model training.
• Develop business cases, operational frameworks, and go‑to‑market strategies for AI systems.
• Synthesize data into presentations, memos, and financial models to guide AI outputs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define metrics and decision points for AI evaluation.
• Support strategic planning, scenario modeling, and opportunity assessment to improve AI performance.

Required profile

• 1.5+ years of experience at a top management consultancy (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or other Big 5 firms).
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Comfortable working independently in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Experience advising technology, AI, or SaaS companies is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic data analysis tools.
