Bilingual Plasma Center Nurse (RN)

About the role

Join BioLife Plasma Services as a Bilingual Plasma Center Nurse (RN) and play a critical part in collecting high‑quality plasma that becomes life‑saving medicines. Working under the Center Manager and Center Physician, you will ensure donor safety, eligibility, and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced plasma donation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and review of laboratory results including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to SOPs.
• Follow emergency SOPs, coordinate donor transport to emergency care, and liaise with the Center Physician for medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Handle employee incidents, refer to occupational health when needed, and act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.

Required profile

• Current RN license with experience in clinical assessment.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) to communicate with diverse donors.
• Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and medical‑safety SOPs.
• Ability to work under the guidance of a Center Manager and Physician.

Required skills

• Interpretation of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Conducting blood testing and physical examinations.
• Administration of vaccinations (Hepatitis B, flu).
• Implementation of medical emergency protocols.
