About the role
Coordinate inpatient and observation bed assignments across all LVHN sites, handling admissions from the Emergency Department, PACU, and direct admits. The role also manages decedent releases and supports efficient patient movement through collaboration with the Capacity Command Center.
Key responsibilities
- Assign beds for all sites from ED, PACU, and direct admissions.
- Manage telephone calls and open transfer center case records for RNs.
- Handle decedent affairs, coordinating releases with funeral directors and moving decedents as needed.
- Create patient accounts in EPIC for direct admissions and transfers.
- Coordinate and prioritize patient flow activities to prevent bottlenecks across LVHN campuses.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent telephone and problem‑solving skills.
