Barber – Luxury Grooming Specialist

About the role

The Barber will deliver premium grooming services to members and guests of The Madison Club, creating a personalized luxury experience. This position combines expert barbering techniques with a refined hospitality approach in an upscale club environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide precision haircuts, classic barber cuts, beard trimming, mustache grooming, neck clean‑ups, shampoo services, scalp treatments, hot towel treatments, and straight‑razor shaves in line with club standards and California regulations.
• Conduct thorough consultations, recommend styles and products, and educate members on grooming and home‑care routines.
• Maintain a welcoming, confidential atmosphere, remembering individual preferences to build lasting member relationships.
• Prepare and sanitize barber stations, tools, and equipment before each appointment, adhering to state board and spa protocols.
• Monitor inventory of grooming products, linens, and supplies, and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Stay current on barbering trends, techniques, and product innovations to continuously elevate service quality.

Required profile

• Valid California State Board barber license.
• Strong commitment to luxury hospitality standards and member confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to personalize service for high‑end clientele.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage time while delivering high‑quality results.
