A&T Technician II – Assembly & Test (Torrance, CA)

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an A&T Technician II to join the assembly and test team on the first shift (6:00 am‑2:30 pm) at its Torrance, CA facility. The role focuses on precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators for advanced military aircraft such as the F‑35 and V‑280.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
• Adjust and align components using shimming and other mechanical methods per blueprints.
• Utilize measuring equipment (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers) to meet dimensional tolerances.
• Maintain accuracy with torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, and gauges.
• Execute test operations on hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic actuator assemblies.
• Follow written and oral assembly instructions and document work.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with ability to understand English work instructions.
• Minimum 3 years of assembly experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic domains.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is a plus; position is FAA safety‑sensitive.
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
