Senior NC Programmer

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an experienced Senior NC Programmer to join its aerospace plant in Torrance, CA. You will work on‑site, collaborating with manufacturing engineers and product teams to develop and optimize CNC machining processes for high‑precision aerospace parts.

Key responsibilities

• Determine machining operations, create detailed NC program outlines, and define tooling and gauging requirements.
• Prepare operation sheets, estimate setup and run times, and manage documentation for both production and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and refine complex multi‑axis CNC processes in the shop floor environment.
• Coordinate with group leaders, methods engineers, design engineers, quality assurance, and metallurgists to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Provide technical guidance to the programming team and support machine shop and assembly/test activities.
• Participate in developing new manufacturing methods aimed at standardization and cost reduction.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of NC programming experience on multi‑axis CNC machines.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow technical work instructions in English.
• Experience in the aerospace industry or automation systems is preferred.
