Associate Specialist – Technical Applications Group (TAG)

About the role

The Associate Specialist in the Technical Applications Group (TAG) supports product development and formulation across Nestlé Health Science’s nutrition portfolio, working on pilot‑plant trials, data analysis and documentation at the Bridgewater Development Center.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for pilot‑plant activities related to TAG trials at the Bridgewater Development Center.
• Support and monitor pilot‑plant trials, assist low‑complexity product development projects and design of experiments for benchtop formulations.
• Arrange sensory panels, collect and analyse technical data, and prepare clear technical reports.
• Maintain trial records in the Nestlé Trial Management System and ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMPs and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Procurement, Nutrition and Operations to drive projects through change‑control, master batch record approvals and shipments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Engineering or a related scientific field.
• Internship or co‑op experience supporting manufacturing, formulation or process improvement.
• Laboratory experience with data collection, basic analysis and written reporting.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, quality systems, documentation practices and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 20 % of the time.

Required skills

• Data analysis and reporting using document‑management systems.
• Sensory evaluation and basic sensory proficiency.
• Formulation knowledge and experience with design of experiments (DOE).
• Laboratory techniques for stability and trial record keeping.
• Understanding of cGMP compliance and quality assurance processes.
