Associate Project Engineer – Test Equipment

About the role

Moog is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to design and develop test equipment for its Space & Defense Group. The role focuses on hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, servo‑mechanism and electro‑pneumatic components that verify the performance of products used in military, commercial and space vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new test equipment, assemblies and processes to meet cost, schedule and performance targets.
• Perform trade studies, analyses and validation of conceptual solutions.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates and technical documentation.
• Coordinate drafters, technicians, designers, analysts and manufacturing engineers.
• Establish and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Support the assembly and integration of test equipment with internal program teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design, analysis, development and production of complex electromechanical hardware.
• Self‑starting attitude with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• MS Project experience and PMP certification are a plus.
