Associate Director Relationship Manager – FIG

About the role

ANZ Banking Group Limited is seeking an Associate Director Relationship Manager for its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in New York. The role focuses on senior client coverage of non‑bank financial institutions, primarily investment managers, and aims to grow profitability through strategic, multi‑product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage cross‑divisional, cross‑border, multi‑product relationships with traditional and alternative investment manager clients.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, product specialists and subject‑matter experts to deliver innovative, client‑centric solutions.
• Originate and execute complex solutions across geographies, including cash management, hedging and funding.
• Align client needs with the bank’s risk appetite, product capabilities and credit frameworks.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk Management and Market Risk to establish and monitor credit relationships.
• Drive strategic initiatives in coordination with regional and business partners.
• Maintain accurate financials, revenue attribution, pipelines, account plans and client data.
• Ensure client satisfaction, regulatory compliance and adherence to risk, audit and training obligations.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial/corporate banking experience, particularly covering financial institutions.
• Proven track record in senior client coverage, business origination and development.
• Strong technical knowledge of FIG products and services.
• Ability to work closely with internal partners such as Risk, Legal and Enablement.
• Experience managing cross‑border, multi‑product relationships.

• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and market risk considerations.
