Associate Director, Donor Experience

About the role

The Associate Director, Donor Experience will lead the strategy and execution of donor‑centric initiatives at UAMS, ensuring a seamless and engaging journey for all contributors. This senior position reports to senior leadership and works closely with fundraising, communications, and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor experience strategy aligned with institutional goals.
• Oversee donor communications, recognition programs, and stewardship activities.
• Collaborate with fundraising and marketing teams to integrate donor insights into campaigns.
• Analyze donor data to identify trends, improve engagement, and drive retention.
• Manage and mentor a team responsible for donor relations and support services.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and external regulations related to philanthropy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, business).
• Significant experience in donor relations, fundraising, or philanthropy, preferably in a higher‑education or healthcare setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
