Associate Dean & Graduate Program Director

About the role

This senior faculty position provides strategic leadership for accreditation, quality assurance, and graduate education within the College of Business Administration. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean and oversees both the MBA and DBA programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, monitoring, and reporting for AACSB and SACSCOC accreditation efforts.
• Coordinate academic advising and student mentoring processes with the Office of Advising and Retention.
• Maintain accuracy of undergraduate and graduate program descriptions in the University Catalog.
• Chair the Accreditation and Assessment Committee and serve on additional college committees.
• Review curriculum proposals for compliance and completeness before routing.
• Manage faculty qualification and sufficiency processes to meet accreditation standards.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, including syllabi collection and faculty credential submissions.
• Hold signature authority for academic petitions and delegated financial approvals.
• Oversee MBA and DBA program operations, admissions, budgeting, curriculum development, and student progress milestones.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in a discipline offered by the College of Business Administration or a closely related field.
• Eligibility for a tenured faculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
• Demonstrated academic leadership experience, preferably managing AACSB and SACSCOC accreditation processes.
• Experience supervising dissertation research is preferred.
• Commitment to teach four courses per year in an active COBA discipline, preferably Management (Leadership or Strategy).
