About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring an Assistant or Associate Professor for its Department of Pharmaceutical Science. This regular faculty appointment involves teaching, research, and service to advance the university’s mission of improving health care and education.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in pharmaceutical science and related subjects.
- Develop and update curriculum and instructional materials.
- Conduct independent research, publish findings, and seek external funding.
- Mentor and supervise graduate students, post‑doctoral fellows, and research staff.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Engage in community outreach and collaborative projects.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a record of scholarly research.
- Ability to obtain external research funding.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
