Assistant Professor of Elementary Education

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor to join its School of Education. This 9‑month, benefits‑eligible position will involve teaching undergraduate courses, supervising field experiences, advising students, and contributing to scholarly research.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of elementary education courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and weekend formats.
• Supervise and evaluate field experiences for teacher‑candidate programs.
• Advise undergraduate students on academic progress and career pathways.
• Conduct and publish research in elementary education.
• Provide professional service to the university and collaborate with local K‑12 schools.
• Participate in faculty governance within the School of Education and the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in elementary education or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach across multiple delivery formats.
• Commitment to research, scholarship, and service.
• Experience working with K‑12 partners is preferred.
